On Saturday 20th August I was delighted to photograph Kate & Ashley’s wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall near Loughborough (Venue link), this was my first visit to the venue but hopefully not my last. Sutton Bonington Hall has a lovely relaxed family home atmosphere and some great opportunities for photography.
Kate arrived in a unique zero emissions London taxi, the only one of it’s kind powered by Hydrogen. Ashley made an appearance on the BBC news website talking about the taxi he was involved in developing (BBC News Link) . Personally I preferred the Jaguar XF the Bridesmaids arrived in.
After the wedding ceremony guests enjoyed the sunshine out in the pretty gardens before the wedding breakfast in the Conservatory. Kate and Ashley had a bright Sunflower theme with tables decorated with jars of old fashioned sweets and pots full of Sunflowers.
Ashley plays in a swing band, no prizes for guessing it was his band booked for the wedding. After the first dance Ashley joined the band playing Trombone.
