Wedding photographer Bistrotheque and Hackney Town Hall

Emma and Darragh’s wedding was at Hackney Town hall and Bistrotheque in London, both fantastic locations.

My first location was The Ned on Poultry in London to photograph Emma and Darragh getting ready, The Ned is described as a trip into an abandoned architectural masterpiece and it is easy to see why, formerly a bank many features have been retained including a restaurant in the vault. The rooms have a glamorous 1930’s feel to them. After photographing Emma I dropped in to take a few images of Darragh and his best man getting ready, as a lover of watches I was rather jealous of Darragh’s beautiful Rolex watches.

I jumped in the taxi with the groom and best man for the trip to Hackney Town Hall.

Hackney Town hall wedding.

Hackney Town hall like many of the London town halls is a beautiful building with an art deco look. Many council buildings seem to just be functional, but not here. After the ceremony there was the usual hugs before guests departed for Bistrotheque.

Wedding reception at Bistrotheque, London.

Bistrotheque is a super cool bar and restaurant in Bethnal Green. A former clothing factory, Bistrotheque  has an industrial warehouse type feel to it which makes for a unique wedding reception venue. Long tables decorated with simple flower arrangements worked perfectly for this venue. The food here is simply amazing!

Emma and Darragh’s reception at Bistrotheque was in the downstairs room called the Cockatoo, this room is suitable for weddings up to 60 guests. There is also the bigger upstairs room available.
