Pembroke Lodge wedding photography

It’s been a number of years since my last wedding at Pembroke Lodge and I had been looking forward to photographing Rachel and Matt’s wedding.

Pembroke Lodge is a listed Georgian Mansion that has been restored and is now used for weddings as well as having a tea room. Situated at the highest point in Richmond Park with spectacular views over the Thames Valley to the west. Richmond Park is the largest Park in London with 2300 acres and is home to around  600 deer. Pembroke Lodge itself is set within 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, it’s history dates back to around 1754 when it started as a small cottage. Today Pembroke lodge consists of downstairs tea rooms, a downstairs purpose built wedding venue ( The Belvedere) and the first floor Russell Suite set in original Georgian rooms which was the location for Rachel and Matt’s wedding.

My coverage started with Rachel’s pre wedding preparations at the nearby Richmond Gate Hotel before I caught up with Matt at Pembroke Lodge. Rachel arrived in a white taxi for the ceremony in The Russell Suite, after which guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn before the wedding breakfast back in The Russell Suite.

After dinner the clouds gave way to some beautiful light and Rachel and Matt took the opportunity for a walk in the grounds together away from the wedding guests. The view over West London was spectacular as the sun set.

My coverage ended with the dancing .
