Holdenby House wedding photography

Holdenby House in Northamptonshire was the venue for Clare and Simon’s wedding reception on Saturday 23rd July 2011.  The ceremony took place at All Saints Church in Earls Barton, a lovely church I have photographed weddings at a few times.  Clare and Simon with their children lit candles during the ceremony which made for some lovely photographs.

Holdenby House is a really amazing venue for weddings, it’s a family home and has none of the corporate atmosphere of hotels.  It is only available for weddings on a handful of dates each year.  The house has a lot of history, originally built in 1583 by Sir Christopher Hatton, the original house was the largest in Elizabethan England.  Around 1650 the house was reduced in size and the current house is around 1/8th of the original size.

I have photographed several weddings at Holdenby House and it’s a venue I very much enjoy working at.  On this occasion I worked with wedding planner Hannah Solomons of Hand Maid Events.

Please contact me if you are planning a Holdenby House wedding and I can show you my complete portfolio from Holdenby House.

These are a few photographs from Clare and Simon’s wedding I have picked out while processing the photographs –
