A lovely spring wedding at Dodford Manor.
It is lovely having such a wide choice of venues here in Northamptonshire from Stately Homes to barns. I was delighted when Aimee and Dale asked me to be their wedding photographer. I’d visited Aimee and Dale a couple of times before the wedding and got to know them well.
Dodford Manor is an exclusive use venue surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, it’s located between Northampton and Daventry right next door to St Mary’s church in Dodford. It is a fairly new venue but is already proving very popular. Aimee and Dale both got dressed for the wedding at nearby Fawsley Grange which was my first port of call on the day. Amiee then travelled by a vintage VW camper van to St Mary’s church at Dodford for the wedding ceremony.
Pims and Lemonade in the courtyard.
After the ceremony Aimee and Dale served drinks to their guests in the church before the couple set off for some time together being driven through the countryside in the camper van while the guests walked the short distance to Dodford Manor where they were served Pims and Lemonade in the courtyard. Guests enjoyed the sunshine and gorgeous views from the courtyard before making their way inside for the receiving line and wedding breakfast. A guest on each table put on a chefs hat and carved the beef. After dinner Aimee and Dale watched the sun set over the nearby hills before cutting the cake which was followed by the first dance.
It was an absolute pleasure photographing Aimee and Dale’s wedding at Dodford Manor, they were both so much fun.
