Another week and another fantastic wedding, this week it was Kate & Jon at St Mary’s Church in Ashwell and South Farm in Cambridgeshire.
St Mary’s is a massive church for the size of Ashwell and the friendly Vicar just let me get on with my job. I use my Fuji X100 camera a lot during the ceremony as it has a leaf shutter which is silent in operation, I don’t want a loud shutter to intrude on the ceremony when I’m in a position at the front of the church. This little camera gets a lot of comments from wedding guests who ask why I’d use a tiny retro looking camera over a DSLR.
After the ceremony the reception took place at South Farm in Cambridgeshire. South Farm is a fantastic wedding venue with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and I’d highly recommend it, the food is great too. There are a few animals on site and the pigs kept the younger wedding guests amused.
