I'm a documentary wedding photographer who has gained a reputation as one of the finest wedding photojournalist in the UK. I was one of the first photographers in the UK to develop this style of photography back when most wedding photographers worked to a cookie cutter list of posed photographs. My background was as a photojournalist working for newspapers and magazines, during this time I photographed many high profile events ranging from flying around in helicopters with the Army to photographing Tony Blair on his election campaign bus. I bring my photojournalists eye to wedding photography and capture images that are distinctly unique.

I photograph weddings across the UK in my unique style. My wedding clients have included household name comedians, actors from the stage and screen and celebrity TV presenters.

Higham Ferrers wedding photos Northamptonshire

I travel all over the UK and occasionally abroad to photograph weddings but I have to say there is something very nice about photographing a wedding in my home town and being able to walk to it. Higham Ferrers is an attractive small town in Northamptonshire with a lot of historic buildings dating back to the 14th century and a beautiful church. Clare and Jon married at St Mary’s church in Higham Ferrers and had their reception at Glebe Farm in Higham Ferrers.

I caught up with Jon having a pre wedding drink with his family at The Carriage House pub and then went to photograph Clare’s final preparations at her parents house. It was then a short trip back to St Mary’s for the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony the guests were transported to nearby Glebe farm by bus for the wedding reception in a marquee. Clare and Jon took an evening walk for a few minutes together and this made for some good photographs in the beautiful evening light.
