Real moments you will want to treasure
As a wedding photojournalist I capture the real moments from your wedding without any intervention, this sets me apart from other photographers who often claim to work in a documentary or reportage style, but in fact often contrive moments to look like they aren’t set up or just photograph random moments in a candid fashion. I am also happy to take some family group photographs and portraits of the wedding couple. There are only a small handful of wedding photographers in the UK that can be classed as true Wedding Photojournalists. I have been photographing weddings in my unique style since 1999, long before reportage wedding photography became popular, I was one of the first photographers to work in this way. My wedding clients have included celebrities from the stage and screen and household name comedians. I was delighted to find my name on a list of the top ten UK wedding photographers. My work has been published in various wedding magazines and the Independent On Sunday published a double page article about my wedding photography, describing me as “the UK’s leading wedding photojournalist”. I was formally trained in photography and am qualified by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) as a Photojournalist. Most important to me are the many thank you emails and cards I receive from my clients.
The UK’s leading wedding photojournalist – Independent on Sunday
I won’t take over your wedding day and other than for a handful of family group photographs I won’t control or set up any part of the day. This leaves you free to enjoy your wedding day with your family and friends and there won’t be a photographer shouting orders at you all day long. Because of the discreet way I work (often with a silent rangefinder style camera) you will probably forget I’m there. I capture real emotions from your wedding and present you with photographs you will want to treasure.
Celebrity wedding photographer “Thank you for the beautiful photographs that we will treasure forever” Jasmine Harman
I am very different to most wedding photographers, from being NCTJ qualified as a photojournalist and having 12 years newspaper experience to my style and approach to weddings. I am one of only a handful of UK wedding photographers to photograph celebrity weddings (Rob Brydon, Lucy Motgomery, Rhys Thomas, Jasmine Harman to name a few), I have also photographed weddings in Venice, Ireland, France, Jersey and Menorca.
